At West Edge Community Church, we believe in living out the love exemplified by Jesus, who calls us to love God wholeheartedly and extend that love to others, even our enemies. To us, love is synonymous with generosity. Love gives. When we love, we give our time, talent, and treasure. These are the ways we contribute to building a brighter future for all.
COMMUNITY
At the core of every human being is a fundamental need for connection and love, transcending cultures and experiences. We are inherently social creatures, seeking relationships that provide mutual support and understanding. From a Christian perspective, Jesus fulfills this innate longing by connecting us to the heart of God. This divine love, beyond human comprehension, enriches and satisfies our deepest need for belonging, fostering profound spiritual ties and emotional well-being. Through this connection with God, we also connect more deeply with one another.
OUR TEAM
Pastor Armando Monico has lovingly served as a Worship Leader and Youth Pastor for 30 years at Iglesia Pentecostal Cristo Viene, guiding others to discover God’s word and become committed disciples of Christ. For nearly 20 years, he has been a warm and encouraging presence in the Hispanic Christian Community of the Greater Toronto Area, organizing events that bring people together in faith and unity. Armando, a graduate in Christian Studies and Business Administration, is also a successful entrepreneur. He and his wife Morena, who have been married since 2005, are blessed with three children and enjoy working together in ministry, supported by her expertise in family and marriage counseling.

Morena Arias-Monico plays a vital leadership role at West Edge Church, where her deep faith and commitment to serving others shine brightly. Her devotion to God has empowered her to guide and inspire those around her, and her expertise in family and marriage counseling has been a tremendous asset to the church community. With a steadfast belief in God's plan and a strong foundation of prayer, Morena helps the church community thrive. Alongside her husband, Pastor Armando, with whom she has been married since 2005, they have three children and work together in ministry, embodying the principles of faith, love, and service.

Veronica is a passionate young leader who has dedicated the past two decades to serving the Lord through worship, guiding the Christian community closer to God with her heartfelt ministry. Whether leading small groups or large conferences, she has allowed God to work through her, moving hearts and deepening connections with the Holy Spirit through worship and teaching. Adventurous and full of life, Veronica embraces an upbeat and optimistic outlook, desiring to help others encounter Jesus through song and reach new levels of intimacy with God. When she's not on stage, you can often find her enjoying a peaceful hike in the wilderness.

Dayana was born and raised in Haiti in a Christian home, where her faith took root. After moving to Canada in 2008, she deepened her relationship with Christ, accepting Him as her Savior in 2010 and being baptized in 2011. Today, Dayana serves as an administrator and is actively involved in various volunteer roles within the church. She is passionate about prayer, worship, and spreading the Kingdom of God, with a ministry philosophy centered on humbly serving, teaching, and guiding others toward a relationship with Jesus Christ. In her free time, Dayana loves spending time outdoors with her dog, connecting with her siblings, watching movies, and exploring new destinations around the world.
